Question: How do I get feedback from my prospects about what they want?

Clients and prospects are giving you feedback everyday.
Let’s face it, you’re talking to your clients on a regular basis (hopefully). You’re telling them all the great things you can do for them, how great your products are, and how great it is to work with you.
But are you listening?
I’ve seen the passionate professional, so in love with their product or service, try to “push” it on others without paying attention to the response they received.
You can have the greatest widget in the world, but if no one wants it, who cares?
Find out what they want, and sell it to them.
That’s the basics of business in all its simplicity.
How do you ask?
With questions, curiosity, sincerity. Truly seek to understand their pain, problem or issue, and craft the best solution you can for them.
Don’t try to push onto them what you think they need, give them what they want.
For Example. Every week, hundreds of new subscribers sign up on my site. Every week, some of them take the time to fill out the questionnaires on various pages, sign up as an affiliate or just email us with questions.
I do my best to respond to every incoming email personally. Why? Because you are the most important people in my business life. I care about you. That’s what it’s all about, YOU!
How can I build a business if I don’t communicate with you. And since most people like to talk, I listen. And boy, do I learn a lot. You are my greatest teachers.
The quote from Zig Ziglar never gets old; “You get what you want by helping enough other people get what they want.”
Isn’t that why you went into business for yourself in the first place, to satisfy you personal and financial desires by making other people’s lives better?
So, the next time you meet someone or otherwise come into contact with a client, prospect or new acquittance, listen and ask sincere, probing questions to really understand what’s going on for them, and determine the best way you could help.
